External-Funded Project Achievement from the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation

Faculty members of the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation, Faculty of Agriculture at Akdeniz University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Tezcan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cihan Karaca, were awarded certificates of appreciation for their externally funded projects approved in 2025.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Tezcan received support for one EU-funded project under a University–Public Authority–Civil Society cooperation–based civic engagement programme.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cihan Karaca received support for two projects funded under TÜBİTAK and EU Interreg NEXT MED grant programmes.

Through the nationally and internationally funded projects they lead, both academics contribute significantly to the university’s research capacity, scientific output, and cooperation with external stakeholders. Their certificates were presented at a ceremony attended by Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan.

As of 2025, more than 105 externally funded projects are being implemented at Akdeniz University. The achievements of the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation clearly demonstrate its strong project development capacity, applied research strength, and effective access to national and international funding sources.
