SAFE-H2O-FARM Project Meeting – Antalya

Date: 4–5 November 2025

Venue: Akdeniz University Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Tevfik Aksoy Conference Hall, Antalya 

The third meeting of the SAFE-H2O-FARM project will be held in Antalya, hosted by Akdeniz University, on 4–5 November 2025. The meeting aims to bring together project partners, researchers, and stakeholders to evaluate innovations and project progress in the fields of sustainable nitrogen fertilization, water management, and pest control in the Mediterranean Region.

The meeting will start with the opening remarks by Dr. Gülçin Ece Aslan (Akdeniz University) and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Mustafa Erkan (Akdeniz University), followed by the project presentation by the Project Coordinator, Dr. Michela Farneselli (University of Perugia).

 

Scientific Presentations will include:

 

• Utku Atalay (Rito Seed Company): Market demands for traits in staked tomatoes grown under protected and open-field conditions

• Dr. Özer Çalışkan (Akdeniz University, Department of Plant Protection): The Relationship Between Plant Resilience and Nitrogen

• Dr. Şekip Erdal: (BATEM): Supporting Innovative Farming Systems: Conclusions of DROMAMED (EU PRIMA) Project

• Dr. Esra Cebeci (BATEM): Utilizing of introgression breeding to enhance the drought and heat stresses tolerance of plants: A case in eggplant

Afternoon Session

In the afternoon session, Dr. Adriana Bruggeman will present the WP6 work carried out within the scope of the project, followed by a Living Lab session with the participation of project partners and an internal project evaluation meeting.
